Earthquakes don’t come from nowhere. They emerge from tectonic pressure that accumulates continuously over decades. The earthquake itself is simply the moment when accumulated stress exceeds the fault’s capacity. The event is discrete; the process is continuous. Historical “earthquakes” work the same way. The French Revolution didn’t begin on July 14, 1789—it emerged from decades of fiscal deterioration, demographic pressure, and elite competition. Axiom A4 formalizes this insight mathematically.
